How often is Knowledge@Wharton published?
Knowledge@Wharton at present publishes new articles on its web site every two weeks. We are working towards increasing this frequency in the future.
What does Knowledge@Wharton contain?
Knowledge@Wharton includes articles as well as research paper abstracts. Some articles are based on research papers. Others are based on interviews with Wharton faculty members about current business news, conferences, panel discussions, and so on. You can use the Quick Search feature to find what you need.
What is Quick Search and how do I use it?
Each page of Knowledge@Wharton has a Quick Search tool that lets you search the Knowledge@Wharton database for articles or research paper abstracts. This is a standard search, using key words.
You can do more complex searches by entering optional search criteria.
To find articles or abstracts that contain either of two words, use 'OR' like this:
business OR technology
To find articles that contain more than one word, use 'AND' like this:
business AND technology
To search for a key phrase, put the expression in quotation marks like this:
"internet technology"
Will Knowledge@ Wharton let me conduct more advanced searches?
Yes. If you click on the words advanced search near the Quick Search window or at the bottom of each page, that will take you to the Advanced Search section of Knowledge@Wharton. This lets you search for articles or abstracts of research papers by keywords. You will also be able to narrow the range of your searches by category or by date of publication. This should let you track down what you need with greater precision.
Do I pay to get access to information on Knowledge@Wharton?
How do I register to use it?
Knowledge@Wharton is a free site, but in order to access its contents, you need to register at the Sign Up section. Our goal is to see who is using the site and how, so that more useful features can be added in the future.
To sign up, we need your full name and e-mail address. We also ask some optional questions, such as the industry you work in and your areas of interest. If you take a couple of minutes to answer these questions, it will help us serve you better. Needless to say, we will never sell this information in keeping with our privacy policy.
